Symbolism:
The 7 eyes of this bead symbolize the 7 stars in the constellation Ursa Major. In Tibet, it is traditionally believed that this constellation is a manifestation of the seven Buddhas of Medicine, whose main task is to free all living beings from diseases, both on the inside and the outside. The main one of these 7, known as ‘The’ Medicine Buddha, is often depicted with a bowl filled with the healing nectar of longevity in his left hand and a medicinal plant curing all diseases in his right hand.
