Antique bronze bells with frog 30 millimeter

In traditional shamanism, bells are used for many purposes, because they can serve as houses for spirits and their sound represents the voice of those spirits.  

On both sides of this bell the high relief image of a frog can be seen.

Since the frog seemingly disappears into the mud on the riverbottom each winter and then comes back to life only when spring has arrived, in its symbolism it's often associated with the Lower World. It is seen as a guide and faithful companion to these places, saving you from making wrong choices and giving protection by expelling evil forces.

These bronze bells measure approximately 30 millimeters high (measured without eyelet) and 34 millimeters wide. They have quite some years of age to them already; these were made in the early 20th century. Over time they have gotten a beautiful dark aged patina.

Use these bells as separate protective amulets or sew them on your ritual costume or attributes.
