Very old wooden phurba from Nepal. Artisan handcarved and with some minor imperfections and damages due to its age and previous usage, but overall still in good condition.
Design characteristics:
Pommel; a three-faced Vajrakilaya, with three different facial expressions; joyful, wrathful and peaceful, combined with some sun & moon symbols.
Handle: a combination of the vajra (dorje) symbol with some variations of the shrivatsa (endless knot) symbol.
Blade: intertwined naga's facing upwards. The blade is held by a three-faced representation of the elephant-headed deity Ganesha.
This phurba has a length of 28,5 centimeters and weighs 115 grams.
