Very old wooden phurba from Nepal. Artisan handcarved masterpiece with some imperfections and damages due to its age and previous usage, but overall still in very good condition.

Design characteristics:

Pommel: a three-faced Vajrakilaya, with three different facial expressions; joyful, wrathful and peaceful. And above the three-faced deity, on top of the phurba, also a beautifully carved typical Nepalese 'namaskara mudra' figurine can be seen.
Handle: a combination of a vajra (dorje) and shrivatsa (endless knot) symbols.
Blade: intertwined naga's facing upwards and sun & moon symbolism. The blade is relatively short and held by an abstract representation of the mythical watermonster Makara.

This antique phurba has a length of 22,5 centimeters and weighs 68 grams.
