Very old wooden phurba from Nepal. Artisan handcarved masterpiece in an authentic, rustique style. With some imperfections and damages due to its age and previous usage, but overall still in good condition.
Design characteristics:
Pommel: a four-faced Vajrakilaya with different facial expressions. Handle: a combination of the vajra (dorje) symbol and a shrivatsa (endless knot) symbol. Blade: intertwined naga's facing upwards and some other symbols, such as sun & moon symbolism. The blade is held by an abstract representation of the mythical watermonster Makara.
This phurba has a length of 34 centimeters and weighs 78 grams.
