A truly amazing piece of traditional Himalayan craftmanship; this beautiful bone carved seal that has been completely handmade by an artisan bonecarver in Kathmandu. Just look at the attention that has been paid to all the tiniest details. This is a true masterpiece.

The intricate carving shows a depiction of a wrathful manifestation of the boddhisattva Manjushri, known as 'Black Manjushri'. This manifestation of Manjushri is especially associated with healing, both on a mental and physical level.

On a mental level, Black Manjushri offers support by helping to purify negative emotions like anger, depression, fear and paranoia that arise during challenging times, and the mental sufferings and harmful psychological patterns that arise from these emotions if they have been with us for a longer time.

On a physical level, Black Manjushri is often called upon in times of serious diseases and illnesses, especially those that seem to be incureable by any other treatments.

Also Black Manjushri has a special affinity for sicknesses that, one way or another, are connected to our disturbed relationship with our natural environment and the nature spirits residing in there. Think about sicknesses related to chemicals, pollution, toxins, radiation and poison. In short all kinds of poison that we as humans ourselves are responsible for and that have found our way back to us via our food and water and the air we breathe.

And finally, Black Manjushri offers a powerful antidote against negative astrological influences, black magic, curses and harmful spirits.

Size; approximately 13 centimeters high and with a weight of 143 grams. The bottom / seal part has a diameter of approximately 4,7 x 3,7 centimeters.

Unique piece, only one available. And please know; the art of real, artisan bonecarving by hand is a dying craft in Himalayan area's, because of, among other reasons, unfair competition from machine-made, a dime-a-dozen, mass production in other Asian regions. Therefore real pieces such as this one are getting increasingly more rare and expensive.
