Vintage bronze phurba from Nepal. The bronze has been treated with special methods to acquire a nice blackened 'antique-look'.
Design characteristics:
Pommel: the face of Vajrakilaya, the main deity connected to all phurba activities.
Handle: a dorje symbol.
Blade: The blade is held by an abstract representation of a fierceful being, which embodies the activity of the phurba. In this case it is difficult to say what the being represents, but most likely a Makara or a Garuda.
This phurba has a length of 20,5 centimeters and weighs 196 grams. It comes together with its own stand, to place it upright on your altar. This triagonal stand is made of red copper with each side having a length of approximately 55 millimeters, and is 28 millimeters high.
