Good quality cast iron incense burner in a black color. Cast iron incense burners are among the only ones that can effectively handle the immense heat of a smouldering incense-coal. That being said, it is still a good idea to first fill the bowl with a layer of sand before placing your coal in it (and place it on a good heat-proof surface).
Also if you are not using coals, a bowl such as this one is of course great to burn your incense in. Always fill it with a layer of sand, rice or small stones before placing your sticks or cones in it.
