The use of high quality butter and ghee (as an even more outstanding derivative from butter) as an offering to the benevolent spirits is something that can be found in rituals all over the Eurasian continent. For many centuries in the past and up until this very day, it is for example used as a food-offering for spirit dolls and other eeren, and of course burned in oil-lamps on altars for all kinds of (daily) rituals.
Also in the tradition of Spirit of Wolf, the use of ghee as an offering is a very important one. It is for example the special offering to the Mother of Fire. When we hold rituals, or work with clients, there's always a little ghee lamp burning on the altar or table to honor her and other spirits.
Here at SeaWolf Shop we offer you ghee lamps in differents styles and sizes. This one is a 'chula' style ghee lamp; used by putting a wick in the middle of the cup (in the small hole) and then filling it up with ghee.
This lamp is made of brass, is 98 millimeters high and 83 millimeters in diameter (measured at the broadest part at the top). It comes to us via our friends at Shaman Bazar.
