Constrictor snake vertebrae with obsidian and lava stone amulet necklace

Amulet necklace featuring the vertebrae from a constrictor snake. In many spiritual traditions, the snake holds important symbolism. Often with a very dual character, representing both positive and negative qualities. In this necklace the snake has been used to represent its transformative dynamics (the literal and metaphorical 'skin shedding') and association with life force.

In this necklace this symbolism of the snake is enhanced with beads made of black obsidian. Obsidian can be used to support in cleaning and clearing one's energyfield, by removing blockages and disharmony. It supports in cleaning away old personal emotional baggage and giving clear insights in one's personal thought- and emotional patterns, from where a deeper self-knowledge can be reached.

Also beads from black lava stone are added. Lava stone combines the qualities of the Fire and Earth element. In this necklace lava stone is added to give both some extra grounding and stability (Earth) and courage and willpower (Fire) while going through the process of transformation.

The snake vertebrae, obsidian and lava stone beads are made into a necklace with black wax cord, which closes with a simple lobster-style jewelry clasp.
Diameter of each snake vertebra is approximately 1,5 centimeters. The obsidian and lava stone beads have a diameter from 8 millimeters each.
