Since classical times the scapula bones of different animal species have been used for specific kinds of oracle work, called osteomancy, or more precisely scapulimancy. This often involves keeping the bone in the heat of a ritual fire until little cracks or even holes appear and then interpreting these patterns. Or smearing ashes from a ritual fire on the bone and then intuitively reading what images and messages appear.
For this, the different spots/locations of the scapula are sometimes assigned to locations in the non-physical realms, making the scapula as a physical tool a device of translation for the messages from the spiritworld.
This very big scapula comes from a dutch cow. As can be seen on the picture, it is not in perfect condition. But even though some cracks and damages are there, it is still a very stabile, strong bone and can be very well used for your oracle work. Or of course as a nice item for all your personal (ritual) crafting purposes.
