Mala necklace made with 108 dark brown yak bone beads, divided in four groups of 27 each. In between the groups of 27, some dzi beads with the pattern 'Wave' have been added. A large conch shell bead has been used as guru.
The necklace has been recently made, with the beads strung on yellow nylon macrame cord. Total length of the necklace is approximately 65 centimeters. Total weight is 47 grams.
The 3 dzi beads have been recently made from semi-transparent natural agate, ranging in colors from medium to dark brown with a white to creamy colored decoration. Size from each dzi bead is approximately 38 millimeters long and 12 millimeters diameter.
The small, dark brown yak bone beads are approximately 8 x 3 millimeters in size and the conch shell guru bead has a diameter of 15 millimeters. All beads are in good condition.
On the symbolism of the Wave dzi bead;
A wave dzi bead usually has 1, 2 or 3 wavy lines, separated by straight lines. The wave pattern represents flowing water. According to the teachings of Feng Shui, flowing water is associated with two different (yet ultimately connected) meanings:
On the one hand, the powerful energy of flowing water symbolizes an inexhaustable source of wealth and prosperity. With its flexibility and adjustability it's able to overcome all obstacles and thus ensure a constant stream even in the most difficult situations.
On the other hand, water is associated with a healthy flow of emotions. Emotions that are suppressed, denied or ignored, can become stuck deep within, accumulating more and more to an unhealthy and even toxic inner state, boiling up at times to outbursts of mental or physical problems. The wave dzi bead supports in unlocking these stuck emotions and releasing them in a healthy way, thus transforming them into vital energy.
