In traditional shamanism, bells are used for many purposes, because they can serve as houses for spirits and their sound represents the voice of those spirits.
These very nice bells represent the shape of the Chinese Money Frog, a well-known emblem from Feng Shui iconography, also known as Three-Legged Toad, Chan Chu or Jin Chan. Typically they are made in the form of statues where the (mostly three-legged) frog sits on a pile of money and holds a coin in its mouth. In these bells, of course the depiction is a little bit less elaborate, but the typical bullfrog-style is well recognisable.
Jin Chan is a creature of mythical origin, said to appear during full moon nights near houses where soon a good flow of wealth will start. The frog is believed to attract and protect this wealth and guard against bad luck.
Bells such as these can be used as a separate amulet or for that purpose be sewn on your ritual costume or attributes.
These brass bells are made in China and measure approximately 22 millimeters wide, 28 millimeters long (measured without eyelet) and 14 millimeters deep.
