Rattle made with goat hide, acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker. The hide used for this rattle is a very thin, semi-transparant part; when held up to the light, you can see the filling of the rattle.
The rattle is constructed with a leg bone from a dutch red deer as handle. It isfilled with organic buckwheat, giving it a nice heavy feel and sound.
The rattle is decorated with a braid, made with 9 strands of cotton in green and blue colors.During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in.
Total length of this rattle is 24 centimeters. It weighs 70 grams.
