Goat hide and roe deer antler rattle

Rattle made with goat hide, acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker. The hide used for this rattle is a very thin, semi-transparant part; the roots of the goat's hair can be seen and when held up to the light, you can see the filling of the rattle.

The rattle is constructed with an antler from a dutch roe deer deer as handle and filled with organic buckwheat, giving it a nice heavy feel and sound.

The rattle is decorated with a braid, made with 9 strands of cotton in red, orange and yellow colors. During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in. 

Total length of this rattle is 18,5 centimeters. It weighs 72 grams.
