Colorful handmade amulets that combine a Tibetan style woven namkha amulet with a feng shui crystal.
The term "namkha" comes from Tibet and means something like; sky, air, ether, space. It comes from the Bon tradition, the pre-Buddhist spiritual tradition of Tibet. Traditionally, it symbolizes a person's elements and energies and is used to bring harmony to them, both within the person himself and in the person's relationship to the whole universe. The namkha is then a representation of the space in which these elements and energies are connected.
But these woven amulets certainly do not belong only to the Tibetan heritage. Something similar can be found in many other countries. In Mexico and Peru, for example, they are called "Ojo de Dios" (Eye of God). This "watchful eye of God" protects the person/family/home from all kinds of unpleasant influences and also symbolizes the ability to see through all kinds of things (physical and invisible) quickly.
Today, namkhas are made all over the world. The most common meaning nowadays is that of protection: you make a namkha for someone who could use some protection, e.g. against nightmares, bad feelings or insecurities or flu that is swirling around. You then make a namkha in a meditative state, keeping the person and your intention well in mind while making it, so that you "charge" the namkha as powerfully as possible with your positive wishes for that person. A very beautiful and special gift to give!
In these amulets, the namkha's are combined with a Feng Shui crystal pendant, a faceted glass pendant which breaks down the (sun)light in beautiful rainbow colors, harmonizing the energies in a room and filling it with pure joy and vibrant lifeforce.
Also for the purpose of adding joyful energy, a little ball filled with small colorful parakeet feathers has been added to each amulet.
These amulets are made with the intention to harmonize the energies in a room and add playful, joyful, vibrant dynamics to it. With these intentions not only the namkha's, but also the matching colorful braids have been woven and blessed.
