Rattle made with rawhide from a horse, acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker. The hide used for this rattle is from a grey horse; white with some grey and brown streaks in it.
The rattle is constructed with a piece of tortuous driftwood as handle. The driftwood has been slightly white-washed to match the light color of the horse hide. As can be seen on the pictures, the rattle-head goes along with the twists and curves of the wood; it stands on slightly crooked, giving it a unique charm. The rattle head is filled with organic lentils.
The rattle is decorated with a braid, made with 3 strand of wool in red and purple colors. During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in.
Total length of this rattle is 35 centimeters. It weighs 92 grams.
Handmade by Chyltys Kam. Every rattle is a unique item.
