In many traditions, the spirit of the Horse is considered a very important and powerful one. Its symbolism and spiritual-energetic dynamics vary from tradition to tradition and from practitioner to practitioner, but some can be found all over the globe. For example, think about the Horse's ability as a guide; just like we can travel on the back of a horse in the physical world, exactly like this we can also travel with the Horse spirit in the non-physical realms. It has the power and ability to guide us through all worlds there. In traditional shamanism the shaman's drum is often called his 'horse'; he rides his drum like a horse into the other worlds.
In traditional shamanism the Horse is also considered to be a very strong protector against malignant forces. The evil spirits are said to dislike, and even be scared away by the smell of the (physical) horse's skin, hair and sweat. For this reason, material associated with the horse, such as its hair and even parts of its equipment (like rings from its saddlery) are used in many ritual attributes, tools and amulets.
Here in our shop we offer you some sets of smaller sized horse bones for all kinds of crafting purposes. These bones all come from horses' lower legs, ankles and feet. All bones are in good condition and have been recently prepared. For an indication of the sizes; the (2) floorboards on which the bones are placed for the pictures are 24,5 centimeters wide. There are four sets available. A set consists of all the bones you see on the specific detail picture for that set. So for example: set #2 consists of 4 bones, set #1 of 8 bones. You can choose your favorite set via the selection menu.
