In many traditions, the spirit of the Horse is considered a very important and powerful one. Its symbolism and spiritual-energetic dynamics vary from tradition to tradition and from practitioner to practitioner, but some can be found all over the globe. For example, think about the Horse's ability as a guide; just like we can travel on the back of a horse in the physical world, exactly like this we can also travel with the Horse spirit in the non-physical realms. It has the power and ability to guide us through all worlds there. In traditional shamanism the shaman's drum is often called his 'horse'; he rides his drum like a horse into the other worlds.
In traditional shamanism the Horse is also considered to be a very strong protector against malignant forces. The evil spirits are said to dislike, and even be scared away by the smell of the (physical) horse's skin, hair and sweat. For this reason, material associated with the horse, such as its hair and even parts of its equipment (like rings from its saddlery) are used in many ritual attributes, tools and amulets.
As can be seen on the pictures, this is a partial tail. During the horse's life, the middle part of the tail had been shaven, which of course results in this tail consisting of less hair than it naturally would have had.
The tail is prepared together with a piece of hide, making this a nice object to for example sew on your ritual clothing.
Total length; approximately 80 centimeters. Width, measured at the broadest part at the top of the tail; approximately 16 centimeters.
Only one available.
