Candles and other objects are being inscribed and carved since ages. In shamanism this is not always common but in paganism and witchcraft a ritualistic carving tool is a beautiful add to your magical toolkit! Of course the inscribing of amulets or tablets can also be incorporated into the shamanic ritual too.
