Very well made iron and copper phurba with the depiction of Hayagriva. Recently made in Nepal by a traditional blacksmith. Very nice, medium-sized phurba with a good heavy weight.
Design characteristics:
Pommel: the horse-headed deity Hayagriva can be seen as a wrathful manifestation of Avalokiteshvara or Amitabha. It is said that his scream is so loud and piercing that is shatters all ignorance and foolishness.
Handle: the symbol of a dorje. Pommel and handle are made of red copper.
Blade: the blade has been kept plain, without decorations. The blade is made of iron.
This phurba has a length of 19,5 centimeters and weighs 293 grams. Only one available.
