Beautiful Tibetan mala made with beads from natural brown jade, with a handcarved jade buddha pendant as guru bead. Also all the beads are handcarved; in most of the carvings the face of the buddha can be recognised.
Mala's such as this one are usually not worn as daily jewelry. Rather they are held in the hand during spiritual practices, where they are used as a supportive tool in keeping focus and concentration and to keep count of the number of repetitions of mantra’s or prayers.
This mala is from vintage origin and therefore might have little damages and imperfections that come with age and previous usage.
Sizes; approximately 32 centimeter (measured without the pendant and tassel). The buddha pendant is approximately 3 centimeters long and each bead is approximately 18 millimeters high and 15 millimeters wide. Total weight; 100 grams.
