The kamcha is a shamanic whip.
Traditionally made of fabric or leather and horse hair, it is a tool for many shamanic rituals. Traditionally held in the left hand, where the dark spirits attack most, and drenched in horse sweat - the whip is one of the powerful tools to first and foremost to extract heavy stuff and dark energy, but also to bless.
The male version for the kamcha is often with leather and is for harsher work. The female version is with fabric mostly. But there is no clear line, often there is a mixture of the two.
The wood of the handle is mostly red, but it is not mandatory. Also red woods are used.
As said, the kamcha is used for expelling evil spirits, to wake people up, to open channels, to help in housecleaning, to direct the energy and for blessing. But many more things are even possible with it.
This kamcha is made and blessed in ritual by Izih Deer Kam, it consists of the traditional chalama braids but also some other extra colours. The wood is hazeltree (a powerful protective tree for rituals) and it has a yellow chord on the handle to hang it from your left wrist.
Offering instructions: feed the kamcha braids ghee, aswell as the handle. Smear it on the braids with the ringfinger of the right hand. Give juniper smoke once a month.
Size: handle = 33 cm, with braids around 50cm
