Old sheep horn with an amethyst gemstone attached into it, used as a ritual attribute by a Nepalese shaman.
Horns such as these were (and sometimes still are) quite commonly used by shamans in Nepal. They serve mostly quite similar purposes as the three-sided ritual dagger known as phurba or kila. They are used in ritual and healing sessions to expel heavy energies and dark spirits, to transform and direct energies and to give blessings.
Please be aware that this item has been used as a ritual attribute before. It will not be happy to serve as a purely decorational object, but wants instead to find a new partner again, to work with. It should be treated with the utmost care and respect.
This horn has a length of approximately 18 centimeters and weighs 103 grams. Due to its age and usage, of course little damages may occur.
