Beautiful old Nepalese necklace made with 15 beads carved from conch shell. In some of the beads the spiraling shell-structure can still be very well seen.
The large shell beads add to quite a heavy total weight of 185 grams. Each bead is approximately 2,5 centimeters long and between 1,5 - 2 centimeters wide.
The beads have been strung on brown cotton cord, which is decoratively twisted at the top and closes with a toggle button. Total length of the necklace is approximately 54 centimeters.
This necklace has quite some years of age to it already and shows of course some signs of this age. But overall it is still in good (and wearable) condition).
