Old Dutch pipe heads
Old Dutch pipe heads
Share
The Netherlands have a rich tobacco history and especially in the area where SeaWolf Shop is based (Gouda) there has been a centuries long flourishing industry in the manufacturing of clay pipes, with its peak in the 18th century.
The long, thin clay pipe is characteristic for Gouda (though in its glorydays, of course it has also been produced in other regions) and is therefore also called "Gouda clay pipe".
These pipe heads come from those glorydays of Gouda's pipe-manufacturing, they are hundreds of years old, and (as can be seen by the well-smoked interiors of the cettles) have been used for smoking.
These pipe heads connect us to our ancestors and local environment and are as such very nice on your ancestral altar or to be used as eeren of amulet.
They are sold per piece. If you order one, we will handpick one at random for you.
