Beautiful old Nepalese necklace made with 16 beads carved from conch shell. In some of the beads the spiraling shell-structure can still be very well seen.
The large shell beads add to quite a heavy total weight of 160 grams. Each bead is approximately 17-19 millimeters diameter.
The beads have been strung on beige cotton cord. Total length of the necklace is approximately 68 centimeters.
This necklace has quite some years of age to it already and shows of course some signs of this age. But overall it is still in good (and wearable) condition).
