Beautiful old Tibetan necklace made with square slices of conch shell woven into a brown cotton cord. The necklace closes with a toggle button (also from a piece of conch shell).
This necklace has quite some years of age to it already and clearly shows the signs of this, but overall it is still in good, and most importantly, good wearable condition.
The square slices of conch shell are approximately 2,5 centimeters wide and long and 3 - 5 millimeters thick. They are drilled from multiple sides, making it possible to use them into different threading- and weaving patterns.
The necklace is approximately 57 centimeters long. Total weight is 100 grams.
