Multi-metal phurba from Nepal with nicely detailed depictions. Made from three different color metals; it has an iron blade, brass handle and red copper head. Recently made.
Design characteristics:
Pommel: a three-faced Vajrakilaya, with three different facial expressions; joyful, wrathful and peaceful.
Handle: the symbol of a vajra (dorje) in between some variations of the shrivatsa (endless knot) symbol.
Blade: intertwined naga's facing upwards. The blade is held by an abstract representation of the mythical watermonster Makara
This phurba has a length of 20 centimeters and weighs 303 grams.
