Design characteristics:
Pommel: a three-faced Hayagriva, with three different facial expressions; joyful, wrathful and peaceful. The horse-headed deity Hayagriva can be seen as a wrathful manifestation of Avalokiteshvara or Amitabha. It is said that his scream is so loud and piercing that is shatters all ignorance and foolishness. Handle: a combination of the symbol of a vajra (dorje) and the shrivatsa (endless knot) symbol.
