Good quality bronze phurba from Nepal with nicely detailed depictions. From vintage origin. This phurba comes with its own triangular wooden stand, painted in traditional colors.
Design characteristics:
Pommel: a depiction of the horse-headed deity Hayagriva, who can be seen as a wrathful manifestation of Avalokiteshvara or Amitabha. It is said that his scream is so loud and piercing that is shatters all ignorance and foolishness.
Handle: a combination of the symbol of a vajra (dorje) in between some typical tantric buddhist skull symbolism.
Blade: plain.
This phurba has a length of 22,5 centimeters and weighs 283 grams.
