Rabbit fur and fallow deer antler rattle

Rattle made with a double-layered container. The actual rattle container that is inside is made with rawhide from goat. This hide is acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker. It is filled with organic buckwheat, giving it a nice heavy feel and sound.

This container is covered with an outside layer of light brown soft rabbit hide.

The rattle is constructed with an antler from a dutch fallow deer as handle.

The rattle is decorated with a braid, made with 6 strands of cotton cord in the colors red, green and white. During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in. 

Total length of this rattle is 20,5 centimeters. It weighs 90 grams.
