Very nice red copper hanging incense burner, decorated with some of the Tibetan Buddhist Auspicious Symbols.
This incense burner can be hung with the hook that connects the three metal chains coming from the sides of the bowl. Hang it for example in your altar space or practice room or on an outside ritual location. Or gently swing it around a person or in a room while doing energetic cleansing or blessing work.
To distribute the heat more evenly, an incense burner such as this one is first filled with a layer of sand or rice. On this base you place a lighted incense coal, onto which you can burn loose incense, dried herbs or resin. Incense sticks or cones can of course be stuck directly into the sand or rice base. Please note; if you hang it somewhere in a room, make sure it hangs free instead of directly to the wall. Because of course the outsides of the burner will get hot, especially when you burn incense coals in it.
This red copper incense burner comes from Tibet and has been recently made. It is in good condition.
Total height of the burner including the lid is 13 centimeters. Measured without the lid it is 7,5 centimeters high. It has a diameter of 10 centimeters (measured at the top of the bowl) and weighs 292 grams in total.
