Red copper wallhanger / pendant depicting the Vedic sungod Surya, in the old Hindu writings also referred to as 'the jewel of the sky'. Though nowadays the worship of Surya is not as highly ranked anymore, temples for him can still be found all through India, showing that Surya once was as important a deity as Shiva, Vishnu and Shakti.
Surya is both this ancient God of the Sun as the Sun itself and can also be seen as a representation of the element Fire, specifically the heavenly equivalent of the earthly Fire element Agni.
And of course the Sun is a very important great spirit in many more spiritual traditions. Also in traditional shamanism. A sun pendant such as this can be attached to your ritual clothing or attributes to connect you with the great spirit of the Sun and its enormous power (but please note that this one, with its diameter of 15 centimeters, might be quite big to use for such purposes). And of course this one will also be very suitable as a wallhanging-amulet in your altar space or practice room.
This wallhanger / pendant comes from Nepal and is made of a thin plate of red copper. It has a diameter of approximately 15 centimeters (measured with the solar flames, but without the eyelet) and weighs 40 grams.
Only one available.
