Red deer hide and red deer antler rattle

Rattle made with rawhide from a red deer, acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker. 

The rattle is constructed with an antler from a dutch red deer as handle. This antler has been found in the forest in the Dutch Veluwe region. It has a nice weathered, rustique look and feel. The rattle is filled with organic buckwheat, giving it a nice heavy feel and sound.

The rattle is decorated with a braid, made with 3 strands of wool in blue, orange and purple colors. During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in. 

Total length of this rattle is 33 centimeters. It weighs 116 grams.
