Red deer hide and red deer leg bone rattle

Rattle made with rawhide from a red deer, acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker. 

The rattle is constructed with a leg bone from a dutch red deer as handle. It is filled with organic buckwheat, giving it a nice heavy feel and sound.

The rattle is decorated with a braid, made with 9 strands of cotton in red, orange and yellow colors. During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in. 

Total length of this rattle is 29 centimeters. It weighs 112 grams.
