Rattle made with rawhide from a red deer, acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker.
The rattle is constructed with a leg bone from a dutch roe deer deer as handle. This leg bone has been found in the Dutch Veluwe-region and had probably been lying there for a long time already; you can see how it's complety sun-bleached and sun-dried. It isfilled with organic buckwheat, giving it a nice heavy feel and sound.
The rattle is decorated with a braid, made with 3 strands of burgundy red suede leather. During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in.
Total length of this rattle is 23 centimeters. It weighs 92 grams.
