Rattle made with the hide from a red deer. This hide is acquired as scrap material from an artisan drum maker.
The rattle is filled with organic buckwheat, giving it a nice heavy feel and sound.
The wood for this rattle comes from a pine tree, growing on the sandy heath lands of the Veluwe.
The rattle is decorated with a colorful braid, made from 9 strands of 100% cotton in red and two shades of green. During the braiding, only the best of intentions and blessings were put in.
Total length of this rattle is 32 centimeters. It weighs 67 grams.
