Shamanic drum

The drum is the most important companion of the shaman. In all of the Eurasian continenr drums are found to be used by shamans, from Nepal to Finland. Often the drum is called a horse, to enable the shaman to travel through the worlds on the back of the horse with it's thundering hooves: badoom badoom badoom!

The shamanic drum can be used for musical purposes, for relaxation and for the shamanic trance state that it induces. Monotone drumming is proven to lower the heart rare and brainwaves, bringin all who listen to it, into a meditative state in which visions and dream images of the spirits can arise.

This drum is made in Denmark and comes from the viking centre in a town called Ribe. It is brought home here by Izih Deer Kam. Now it wants to travel onwards.

The sound is deep but clear. The spirit of the drum straight forwards, no nonsense. Ready to help and be od practical use.
