Chinese mirror Symbol of the Year of the Dragon 43 millimeter

Recently made Chinese shamanic mirror with a diameter of 43 millimeters and a weight of 41 grams. Made from bronze in a very traditional style, with a central knob on the decorated backside. This style is amongst the oldest known Chinese shamanic mirrors, dating back almost 4000 years. Mirrors like this are often made with the 'lost wax' bronze casting method. This style of mirror is still highly regarded nowadays.

This mirror has been recently made, but the bronze has been treated with special methods to look beautifully aged and old, with a dark green-grey patina. So please take note; while we usually recommend to polish your mirrors regularly to keep them shiny, of course for this one we certainly wouldn't recommend such a thing.

This mirror is a zodiac mirror; it carries the symbol of the year of the Dragon on it. This mirror can be worn as a personal amulet to strengthen your connection with the qualities of the year of the Dragon. This goes of course especially for the ones born in the year of the Dragon; wearing such a mirror then strengthens your connection with the dynamics in the universe at the time you were born. But of course this mirror can also be worn to anchor you deeply into this year we are living in now; 2024 is the Year of the Dragon!
