Small iron phurba from Nepal, very nicely made and finely detailed. This phurba is quite an old one already. As can be seen on the pictures, the iron has a nice rustique layer of rust on it, but the overall stability and integrity of the structure has not been compromised.
This phurba is relatively small in size; 6,3 centimeters length and 34 grams weight. A phurba in this size can easily fit in your travel-kit, be attached to your shamanic 'multi-tool' or even be worn on a cord around your neck (but please note that it's not a ready-made pendant, there's no hole drilled in this one).
Design characteristics:
Pommel: a single-headed Vajrakilaya, the main deity connected to all phurba activities.
Handle: a combination of the symbols of a vajra (dorje) and shrivatsa (endless knot).
Blade: The blade is held by an abstract representation of the mythical watermonster Makara.
Read more about the design symbolism and usage of the phurba in the general description of the webshop-collection "Ritual Attributes; Phurba's".
