Vintage alpaca metal pendant depicting the Vedic sungod Surya, in the old Hindu writings also referred to as 'the jewel of the sky'. Though nowadays the worship of Surya is not as highly ranked anymore, temples for him can still be found all through India, showing that Surya once was as important a deity as Shiva, Vishnu and Shakti.
Surya is both this ancient God of the Sun as the Sun itself and can also be seen as a representation of the element Fire, specifically the heavenly equivalent of the earthly Fire element Agni.
And of course the Sun is a very important great spirit in many more spiritual traditions. Also in traditional shamanism. A sun pendant such as this can be worn on a necklace as a single amulet, or of course be attached to your ritual clothing or attributes, to connect you with the great spirit of the Sun and its enormous power.
This pendant comes from Nepal and is made of silver colored alpaca metal. It weighs 5 grams, is approximately 4 centimeters high (measured including the eyelet) and 3 centimeters wide.
Only one available.
