Drinking your ceremonial tea doesn't have to be all serious. Meet one of the most popular Chinese tea pets; Pee-Pee Boy!
This tea pet in the shape of a young monk refers to an old temple Buddhist temple tradition where it was the task of the youngest monks to make the tea.
These tea buddies are made from unglazed Yixing clay and have a hollow center. Their task is to tell you whether the water is hot enough to make a good tea and they do so by peeing ;-)
First you dip the boy in cold water, until its center has been completely filled with water (you might need to shake it a little bit while submerging it, until you see no more air-bubbles escaping) and then you place him on your tea tray. Now you can pour hot water over him and if it's hot enough; the boy starts peeing. The hotter the water is, the further he pees.
A fun accent to add to your tea ceremonies, which will definitely bring a smile to everyone's face.
Two styles available; with a bald head or with a shell-hat.
Size; approximately 6,5 centimeters high. Sold per piece.
