Tingsha's are a special type of small handheld cymbals, originating from Buddhist and Hinduistic traditions. The word 'tingsha' comes from Tibetan language and can be translated roughly as 'hanging cymbals'.

Nowadays the tingsha's have found their way into lots of spiritual practices. Also in the modern western world, where their sounds are for example very well known to mark the beginning or end of meditational and mindfullness practices.

Also in traditional shamanism tingsha's are often used. When the two cymbals hit each other, they produce a high-pitch sound. The vibrations of this sound are for example used to harmonize, clear and stabilize the energy in a room or within a person's energyfield. The sound can also be used in a more diagnostic way; to check the vibrations, energies or spirits in the energyfield of a room or person. Or simply to mark the beginning or end of your personal daily ritual.

These tingsha's are made from brass, tied together with a yak leather cord. They have a diameter of 64 millimeters (per cymbal) and weigh approximately 190 grams (total weight, per set of 2 cymbal).

These are recently made thingsha's with a nice depiction of a double dragon. Please note: the sound and vibration are quite okay, but not completely perfect. When you listen closely, a bit of tremors can be heard in the sound. Therefore the price for this set is a little bit lower. But can of course still be a nice set to start practicing with.
