Vintage Nepalese cow bell 43 millimeters

In traditional shamanism, bells are used for many purposes, because they can serve as houses for spirits and their sound represents the voice of those spirits. 

This large brass bell here in our shop comes from Nepal, where it was originally made with a quite practical purpose; bells like this are hung around the necks of cattle to help the herder locate the animals and alert passers-by on their presence. This bell has been used as such for many years. 

A bell with a unique history and authentic, rustique look and feel, now to be used as a house and voice for your spirits. A large bell such as this one can be used as a separate, protective amulet or for that purpose be sewn on your ritual costume or attached to your ritual attributes.

This bell is made of brass and hand-engraved with local, Nepalese symbolism. It weighs 91 grams and measures 43 millimeters diameter without the eyelet, or 68 millimeters including the eyelet. From vintage origin, but overall in good condition.
