Beautiful vintage cast iron figurine depicting Dzambala, the Tibetan Buddhist god of wealth (also known in Hindu tradition with the name Kuber/Kubera).

According to legend, Dzambala himself wasn’t born in incredible wealth, but instead in unimaginable poverty. He needed to gain a lot of experience, wisdom and skill along his way to becoming the keeper of all earthly treasures that he is today. Therefore, Dzambala is said to especially appreciate those who adequately assess their capabilities, and try to earn not only money, but also a broad outlook and experience.

Dzambala rewards those who work hard for an overall rich and full life on all 3 main roads of life; health, career and personal life. He helps to gain, keep and increase not only material and financial wealth, but also a wealth of experience, knowledge and wisdom. Dzambala is honored as a deity with five different aspects, each associated with the concept of wealth from another angle / in another area of life. This figurine shows Dzambala in the most wrathful one of his five manifestations: Black Dzambala. He is depicted in an active, standing position, symbolizing how he's always immediately ready to intervene. His specialism is in removing obstacles, darkness and defilements and doing so in a fierceful way. 

Black Dzambala is shown standing on a human being, symbolizing the subjugation of ego, ignorance, greed, and inner adversaries. In his right hand he holds a kapala, with the ability to transform poisonous and negative energies into wisdom and wealth. And his left hand holds a mongoose named Nehulay, continuously spewing wish-fullfilling jewels from its mouth.

Black Dzambala will enable all endeavors to be perfectly accomplished, he purifies the path of all bad luck and obstacles and prevents theft, fraud, bad debts and other barriers that interfere with the receipt of benefits in money matters. 

This small Black Dzambala figurine is from vintage origin, but overall in very good condition. It is made from cast iron with a beautiful dark grey / black silvery color and weighs a heavy 165 grams. Approximately 6,5 centimeters high and 4,5 centimeters wide.
