Very nice Indian tribal necklace. This necklace is a so called 'coin'-necklace. The tradition of wearing coin-necklaces is often believed to have its roots in gypsy/nomadic cultures, where wearing your wealth physically upon your own body was considered one of the best ways for keeping it safe.
Coin-necklaces are believed to attract good fortune, abundance and prosperity to their wearer. Often they are family heirlooms, passed down for generations. The coins used for these necklaces are often also very specifically chosen, with depictions that have some symbolic significance for the maker or wearer. For example in this specific necklace there is one coin that has a depiction of a trident on it, which will probably not have been a random pick, but a very specific choice for its symbolic associations with the Hindu and/or Buddhist gods, and maybe also its ancient symbolic protective qualities.
On some of the coins numbers of the years can be seen, with the most recent one being from 1986, so the necklace must have been made somewhere after that year.
Length of this necklace (measured only the 'circle' made by the strings, not including the size of the pendant); 74 centimeters. The size of the (heavy bronze) pendant is approximately 5x5 centimeters. Total weight is 158 grams.
Please note; the beads used on the strings are (as so often is the case with necklaces such as these) not real (gem)stones, they are artificial beads, solely there for decorational purposes. The value of this necklace really lies within the coins and the pendant and the rich symbolism of it.
