Very nice vintage Ottoman style belt. This one comes from Balkan regions, most likely Bulgaria, where it would have been an intricate part of a traditional women's costume.
The belt consists of a chain of individual brass links, connected with each other on a base of black velvet lining. The belt closes with a hook and eye mechanism underneath the buckle. Chain links and buckle are very nicely decorated with embossing technique.
Sizes; total length, including the buckle is 87 centimeters. The belt is 3,5 centimeters wide going up to 7 centimeters wide at the buckle. Total weight is 264 grams.
This belt is from vintage origin and might therefore show some signs of its age and previous usage, but overall it is still in very good (and most important; good wearable) condition.
