Old Nepalese glass beads in a dark blue color with depictions of eyes on them. Eye-depictions on jewelry, amulets and home decorations can be found all over the world with similar meaning; the eyes are used for protection, they are said to ward off negative energies, and evil entities.
These old glass beads are taken from old necklaces and clearly show the signs of their age and previous usage. As can be seen on the pictures, there are some damages, chips and imperfections. But maybe that's what makes them all the more charming; these beads are not the perfect, brand new, straight-from-the-factory kind, but instead they tell the story of a long life already lived.
The beads vary in diameter between 8 - 10 millimeters. The hole is approximately 1,5 - 2 millimeters.
