Very nice red copper offering bowls, made in a traditional Tibetan style. In Tibetan Buddhism, such cups would be used for offering water on the altar, but of course they can be used for all kinds of food and drink offerings to the spirits.

These offering bowls have been made in Nepal and are from vintage origin. They show some minimal stains here and there. But overall they are in very good condition. These are good quality bowls with a nice heavy weight of approximately 70-80 grams per piece. The bowls are made of red copper, which has on the outside been gilded a bit to gain a nice golden shine.

Please note that the choice for red copper as a suitable material for your offerings might depend on the nature of the tradition you work in and / or the kind of ritual you are planning to perform. For example; in a lot of classical (Siberian) shamanic traditions, such as the lineage of Spirit of Wolf, red copper is associated with the Underworld Sun and thus mostly used in black shamanic work. In a lot of Himalayan traditions on the other hand, red copper is seen as a very auspicious and most precious metal, and thus used frequently in all kinds of sacred settings.

The bowls are 43 millimeters high and have a diameter (measured at the broadest area, at the top) of 78 millimeters. Sold per piece.
